OPPO launches a new duo of budget devices: the OPPO A76 and A96. They come with a ‘Glow Design’ and a 5,000 mAh battery that you can charge with a 33W fast charger. The OPPO A76 and 96 are now for sale in the Netherlands and Belgium from 229 euros.
OPPO A96
OPPO is releasing two new phones from the low price segment in the Low Countries and the devices are now in the shops, OPPO says in a press release. First up we have the OPPO A96. Its back and frame are made of plastic and it comes with an IP 54 certification. This means that it is partly dust resistant and can also survive being sprayed by water.
The phone is finished with OPPO’s Glow Design with which it glows in the dark. In addition, there is a microSD slot, a fingerprint scanner on the side and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The phone has a single speaker.

33W fast charger and Android 11
The screen of the A96 is a 6.59 inch Full HD LCD panel. Under the housing is the Snapdragon 680 that comes with a 4G modem and OPPO supplies the device with a generous 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. The battery is a 5,000 mAh one and can be charged with the 33W charger that is included. The software that the Chinese brand uses is its ColorOS 11.1 shell, which is still based on Android 11.
OPPO uses two camera lenses for the A96: a 50 MP main sensor is assisted by a 2 MP depth camera to take bokeh photos. Those are photos with a blurred background. The A96 can also take portrait photos with its 16 MP selfie camera.
OPPO A76
The OPPO A76 resembles its bigger brother with its design and specifications, but there are some differences. This phone has a slightly smaller 6.56 inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels. The phone also carries the same chipset, but it comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Finally, the camera is slightly simpler, as on the back is a 13MP main camera above the 2MP depth camera. The selfie camera is an 8 MP one.

The OPPO A96 and A76 are now on sale. The A96 is available in the colors Starry Black and Sunset Blue from 279 euros. The A76 comes in the colors Glowing Blue and Glowing Black for 229 euros.
