Peugeot is making a series of technical adjustments to the electric versions of the 208 and 2008. Good news: the range of both the e-208 and e-2008 is increasing as a result.
Earlier this year, DS made a series of technical adjustments to the electric 3 Crossback E-Tense, increasing the range of that crossover to 341 kilometers. Now the technical brothers Peugeot e-208 and e-2008 also benefit from a similar series of changes.
Peugeot puts the two electric models on new tires with a lower rolling resistance and adjusts, among other things, the gearbox ratios. In addition, Peugeot is installing a new heat pump that uses its energy slightly more efficiently. The result: the Peugeot e-208 can now travel 362 kilometers on a full battery. The range was initially 340 kilometers, which means a gain of 22 kilometers. The electric e-2008 now has a range of 345 kilometers, 25 kilometers more than before.
The battery pack still measures 50 kWh and the 136 hp and 260 Nm strong electric motors of the electric pair remain unchanged.
