The Peugeot e-Expert can be ordered in June. The medium-sized electric utility vehicle is available in three length variants, three versions, four trim levels and with two battery packs.

Peugeot presents the electric variant of the Expert medium-sized van. The order books of this e-Expert will open next month, delivery will start after the summer. Prices are not yet known. What we do know are the possibilities – and there are plenty of them.

Variants

There are three length variants: Compact (4.60 m), Standard (4.95 m) and Long (5.30 m). All can be ordered with a battery of 50 kWh, good for a (theoretical) range of 230 km. You can also get the Standard and Long with a 75 kWh battery, which have a range of 330 km. In addition, the e-Expert will be available as an (extended or non-extended) Combi with five or six seats, and as a Plancher cabin for a customized body.

Loading is also as a dropdown menu. It can be done via a standard socket, a (16A) amplified socket, with the standard single-phase charger on a 7.4 kW wallbox, with the optional three-phase charger on an 11 kW charging point or at a public charging station. With a 100 kW fast charger, the electric Expert is charged for 80 percent within a time frame of 30 minutes (50 kWh) or 45 minutes (75 kWh battery pack).

Equipment and performance

The instrument panel and central touchscreen display such things as the current range and power consumption. In addition to normal braking, you can use reinforced braking, where energy is recovered to charge the battery. The range can also be influenced with the available driving modes. The e-Expert has an electric parking brake. You operate the automatic transmission with a selector switch.

The battery pack is under the floor and therefore does not take up any loading space. The maximum payload is 1,200 kg, the maximum braked towing weight is 1,000 kg. The electric motor can generate up to 100 kW (or 136 hp), the torque of 260 Nm is available immediately when starting.

You will soon be able to order the Peugeot e-Expert in four trim levels: the Pro, the richer Premium, the robust Asphalt and the Urban for urban use. Plenty of (optional) safety and driver assistance systems are available, including a 180-degree camera on the tailgate and hands-free sliding doors on the side. A Moduwork three-seater sofa is also available. Prices will follow soon.
