Signify has previously introduced the Philips Hue Play Wall Washer today. Furthermore, at the beginning of 2025 Philips Hue announced its first generative AI assistant and it is now officially available. The assistant understands context to bring AI-driven lighting to life: users type or say their mood, style or occasion, and the assistant immediately proposes a suitable scene or makes a new one if there is no good match.
It is only available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and only if the Hue app is set to English. In July the AI ​​assistant must be available in the UK, worldwide in August.
New functions of the AI ​​assistant will come later this year, including making schedules and automation and in-app support via a chatbot.
