Google’s 30 Watt charger for Pixel 6 doesn’t seem to do what Google promised. The reason? Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro don’t support fast charging at 30 Watts at all.

AndroidAuthority writes that Google cannot fulfill its promise. The idea is that the battery of the Pixel 6 is half full after half an hour, but if you want to fully charge the phone, it takes you no less than two hours. This would mean that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will not charge 30 Watts, but 13 Watts. Ahead: the peak speed is 22 Watts, but the promised 30 does not come.
This is not only annoying because you have to wait longer for your phone to charge: it is a must for some people to buy the charger. There is no charger supplied with the devices. If you still want an official charger from Google, you pay 25 dollars (converted about 22 euros).
Charger no longer in the box
It’s not as much as an average iPhone charger (which costs 25 euros for the block alone). Apple also does not supply a charger (block) with the iPhone 13. More and more telephone companies are doing this under the guise of the environment. After all, less needs to fit in the box, so that the boxes can be smaller.
People often already have a suitable block at home, so the number of people who have to order a charger separately is relatively low, according to smartphone makers. But: if you do buy a charger, then you naturally want to get what is promised and Google is currently not delivering on that.
