The Google Pixel 6 Pro can be seen for the first time in photos and in a video on YouTube. Unlike renders, we now see the finish better and it has given us a better idea about the upcoming flagships. In the video we also see the welcome screen of Android 12.
Google Pixel 6 Pro hands-on
With an imminent launch on October 19, the rumor mill about the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro is in full swing. The phones have already been leaked in numerous renders and in a short promotional video from Google, but now a prototype of the Pro version can also be seen in a hands-on video on YouTube.
The video is from Youtuber This is Tech Today. It is immediately clear that it is still a prototype because of the G logo on the back that is missing. An alternate logo is currently on display. We also notice that this is the dark gray variant of the Pixel 6 Pro, and it is noticeable that the finish is very glossy. The smartphone will also be available later in a yellow and light gray color.
Welcome screen of Android 12
In the video we also see a small aspect of the software on the phone. Google is of course going to launch the Pixel 6 series with Android 12, and we now see the phone’s welcome screen. That’s the start of the setup process when you first take the phone out of the box. It is noteworthy that Google uses a dark theme, because we are used to seeing a light theme during installation.
There is already a lot of information about the Pixel 6. Google has released a lot about the camera and its own Tensor chipset, but more has been leaked about the periscope camera and the specifications of the two phones. Google will provide the Pixel 6 series with updates for five years.
