Following the Formentor

The sportier marketed alternative to the Seat Leon will be cheaper. We are talking about the Cupra Leon and the Cupra Leon Sportstourer. The prices of the plug-in hybrid Cupra’s Leon drop by €2,000.
AutoWeek was able to report that earlier this week the Cupra Formentor will be €2,000 cheaper. Now the importer is implementing the same price reduction on the Cupra Leon and Cupra Leon Sportstourer. The starting price of the Cupra Leon is now €42,990.
That starting price of just under 43 grand applies to the Leon in hatchback form, designed as Essential and with the 204 hp 1.4 TSI e-Hybrid plug-in hybrid powertrain. The five-door with this powertrain is also available as a Business and costs €46,990 in that composition. Just like the Formentor, the Cupra Leon is also available with a second and more powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain of 245 hp. The five-door Cupra Leon with 245 hp plug power is available as a VZ Performance and as a VZ Copper edition and costs €48,490 and €59,990 respectively.
Just like the Formentor, the Cupra Leon will soon be given a new family face.
Like the Seat Leon, the Cupra Leon is also available as a Sportstourer station wagon. It is also available with the 204 hp and 245 hp 1.4 TSI e-Hybrid plug-in hybrid powertrains and they are also €2,000 cheaper. The Cupra Leon Sportstourer with 204-hp powertrain now costs €42,990 as an Essential and €47,990 as a Business. For the 245 hp Cupra Leon Sportstourer you will have to pay at least €48,490 for the VZ Performance version. As a VZ Copper Edition, it changes hands from €50,990.
The 204 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain gives the Cupra Leon an electric range of 61 kilometers. With the stronger 245 hp variant, you can travel up to 59 kilometers on electric power alone. Both power sources have a 10.4 kWh (net) battery pack.
