Poco F4 GT official: the most powerful specs and buttons for gamers

Poco has presented its most powerful new phone: the Poco F4 GT. The device costs 499 euros and comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and a 120W fast charger. But what stands out most are the two physical triggers that you can use in games.

Poco F4 GT

The Poco F series stands for the most powerful phones of the brand that still bet on a good price-quality ratio. With the Poco F4 GT, the brand wants to do that again and at the same time introduce special features for gamers. The sale will start on May 9 and the phone will be available from 499 euros.

Those game functions are also the most eye-catching, because two sliders are provided on the right side of the frame, on either side of the power button. This brings out the magnetic triggers, which are two physical buttons that you can use in mobile games. According to Poco, the function has been tested for 100 popular Android games and the buttons can be pressed 1.5 million times. Poco protects the smartphone with Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and back. There are also four speakers that support Dolby Atmos sound effects and the phone has a fingerprint scanner incorporated into the power button.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and cooling

The screen of the Poco F4 GT is a 6.67 inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD resolution. The screen shows 120 frames of an image in one second and the maximum brightness is 800 nits. Following Poco, the screen offers support for HDR10 + content, which are films and series with extra high contrasts.

The Poco F4 GT continues to work with Qualcomm’s high-end chipset: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. You can also get it with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage. The F4 GT uses the fast UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 memory. To keep the powerful chipset cool and not to curb performance, the phone has been given Poco’s so-called LiquidCool Technology 3.0. That is a vapor chamber cooling system, or a system that distributes heat evenly over the phone through a system of pipes.

Recharged in 17 minutes

The battery of the Poco F4 GT is a 4,700 mAh one. In the box, Poco for the first time provides its 120W HyperCharge fast charger that fully charges the phone in 17 minutes, according to the brand. To prevent the battery from wearing out because the phone is unnecessarily left on the charger all night, there is the AdaptiveCharge system that prevents overcharging. The Poco F4 also has a special charging cable that is less in the way when you game on the phone.

Opposite the powerful chipset and charger is a simpler camera setup. The Poco F4 GT comes with a 64 MP main sensor without optical image stabilization. There is also an 8 MP wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP depth camera to take pictures with the bokeh effect. The selfie camera is a 20 MP one.
