Polestar: ‘First carbon neutral car in 2030’

Polestar only wants to build electric cars, that was already known. The brand now indicates that it only wants to have climate-neutral models in its range. In 2030, the first fully climate-neutral Polestar has to come off the production line.

The future of Polestar is all electric. The Volvo sister already presented itself as an EV brand at launch, but firstborn 01 became just a plug-in hybrid. In the future, however, we only have to expect electric models from the brand, which themselves do not emit a single gram of CO2. From 2030, Polestar wants to build its first car with the entire production process being climate neutral. Project 0, Polestar calls his plan.

Polestar says, among other things, so-called sustainability statements to give up for his models. The Polestar 2 is the first car for which the CO2 ‘footprint’ and the ‘risk materials’ used are made public.
