Porsche joins the line of manufacturers re-opening their factories. Initially, Porsche would only stop work until April 1, but the sports car manufacturer, like the other brands, keeps its doors closed for a longer time.
Next Monday, May 4, will kick off production resumption. This happens in Zuffenhausen and Leipzig. The work was halted there on March 21 due to the corona outbreak. Porsche: “Resuming production is an important signal: for our employees and for our customers.”
Like previous brands, Porsche naturally takes maximum safety precautions to protect its personnel and ensure health. Production is gradually increased to full capacity. In Zuffenhausen, Porsche builds models such as the Taycan and 911, while in Leipzig the Panamera, Macan and Cayenne are built.
