Porsche Taycan receives (half) history lessons

The Dutch Porsche importer comes with five unique Taycans that emphasize the ‘two sides’ of the electric sports car. In the coming weeks the five can be seen here and there in the Netherlands.

According to Porsche, the Taycan is ‘a car with two faces’. On the one hand you can cruise calmly and comfortably with it, but on the other hand the EV performs like a true sports car. Admittedly, it is a bit of a marketing story, but to emphasize this, the Dutch importer has come up with this unique five. Half of them are wrapped in iconic liveries of old racing Porsches. The color combinations may seem familiar to you, because Porsche uses them more often.

Porsche Netherlands chooses to provide a burgundy Taycan with the pink ‘Pink Pig’ livery of the 917/20. A white Taycan is half dipped in the livery of a red ‘Salzburg’ of the 917K. We also see the blue / gray ‘Martini Racing’ livery of the 917 Longtail, the ‘Vaillant’ livery of the 917/30 and the white ‘Martini Racing’ livery of the 917K. Gijs van Lennep won his first Le Mans in 1971 with the latter. However, this car is not in the photos.

In the coming weeks, the five special Taycans can be admired at various Dutch Porsche Centers. Interested parties can therefore take a look around the block in the car.
