BMW expands the price list of the farm-fresh 2-series Gran Coupé with a new diesel version: the 216d.
In November, Techzle already announced the first prizes of the 2-series Gran Coupé. That new member of the 2-series family, which, just like the new 1-series, has front-wheel drive, could already be obtained at the diesel level as 220d with automatic transmission. The €47,561 190-horsepower version is accompanied by a more modestly endowed diesel brother: the 216d.
As a 216d, the 2-series Gran Coupé has a 116 hp and a 270 Nm strong 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine under the hood, a machine with which the paper-based sedan must be able to score an average consumption of 3.8 l / 100 km. In contrast to its more powerful brother, the 216d is equipped with a manual transmission. BMW wants to receive a minimum of €41,221 for the 2-series Gran Coupé 216d.
In terms of fuel, the 2-series Gran Coupé is available as a 140 hp 218i – with manual transmission and with automatic transmission – and as a 306 hp M235i xDrive (automatic transmission).
