You may have been testing Disney’s streaming service extensively lately. If you are not satisfied for some reason, for example the new price increase, you can easily cancel your Disney+ subscription.
Disney Plus is available on various devices including the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, but certain Smart TVs and streaming hubs also offer the service. The subscription includes exclusive access to Disney Original series and films that can be viewed from the app.
Disney+ price increase

From now on you pay €13.99 per month instead of €10.99. The annual subscription has also increased in price from €109.90 to €139.90 per year. - Standard with advertising: €5.99 per month including advertising – 2 screens, up to 1080p Full HD and no Dolby Atmos audio
- Standard: €9.99 per month – 2 screens, up to 1080p Full HD and no Dolby Atmos audio
- Premium: €13.99 per month – 4 screens, Up to 4K (HDR Dolby Vision) and Dolby Atmos audio
Cancel Disney+ subscription
It is best to cancel your subscription before your test period ends or before a new month starts, otherwise you will still pay for that month. For example, if you took out the subscription on the 12th, it is better to cancel it before the 11th using the steps below.
Cancel via iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your Name
- Go to ‘Subscriptions’
- Select ‘Disney+’
- Select ‘Cancel (trial) subscription’
You can still use Disney Plus until the end of your trial period or month, after which access to the service will be denied.
Cancel Disney Plus via special website
Because the streaming service is available on multiple platforms, you can also stop the service via the Disney Plus website. This means that anyone who has a subscription can easily cancel the service, regardless of which device it is used on.
- Open the website disneyplus.com
- Click on ‘log in’ or your profile photo at the top
- Choose ‘Account’
- Scroll down to ‘Your subscriptions and billing’
- Click on ‘Cancel subscription’
Depending on the method you have chosen to take out a subscription, you will now have the option to view and cancel your subscription. For example, if you took out the subscription via an iPhone or Apple TV, you will see the option ‘To iTunes’. Click here to cancel this.
