Cupra has put the Leon and Leon Sportstourer on the price list. These are the plug-in hybrid versions of the Spanish pair. Delivery of the Cupra Leon will start this year.
In February this year, Cupra showed the new Leon and Leon Sportstourer. The Leons sprinkled with a spicy mix of herbs are available in various flavors. The absolute winner is the 310 hp version with 2.0 TSI. Below that is, among other things, a variant with a 245 hp 2.0 TSI. Plugs are possible with the Cupra Leon with the e-Hybrid powertrain. Cupra now reports what those plug-in hybrid Leons should cost.
Cupra supplies the Cupra Leon from € 40,990. That amount is for the Cupra Leon 1.4 e-Hybrid as Business. For the Cupra Sportstourer in that outfit, you lose € 42,990. The Business version has 19-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch large screen infotainment system, Virtual Cockpit, full LED headlights, rear parking beeps, fabric-covered bucket seats and keyless entry. Higher in the pecking order are the Adrenaline, Performance and Copper Edition. Prices of these versions will follow later.
Cupra Leon
The Cupra with 1.4 e-Hybrid powertrain has a 150 hp 1.4 TSI that works together with a 115 hp electric motor. The system power is 245 hp. With that you should see this Cupra flavor as what the GTE version of the Volkswagen Golf is. The powertrain is therefore the same. The powertrain also includes a six-speed DSG automatic transmission and a 12.8 kWh battery pack. The electric range is 50 kilometers. The Cupra Leon sprints as a plug-in to a speed of 100 km / h in 6.7 seconds. The Sportstourer needs 0.3 seconds longer for that sprint. The top speed of both versions is 225 km / h. In the market for a milder motorized plug-in hybrid Leon? Then you have to divert to Seat. After all, Seat also has a 204 hp plug-in hybrid of the Leon on the order list.
