After being presented at the EICMA in Milan for the past year, the SRT 900 SX can now also be seen at the QJMotor dealer. With a price tag of 12,799 euros incl. Three -part luggage set, the SRT 900 SX Touring seems to be a lot of motorcycle for its money.

To be honest, we had to look twice last year before we noticed not face to face with the SRT 800 SX, but with the new SRT 900 SX. And that is not strange, apart from a few small details, they are two identical engines. The two models share exactly the same looks, looks that in turn are damn much like the TRK models of Benelli, which falls under the same Geely Group.

In principle you could therefore state that the SRT 900 SX is a drilled version of the SRT 800 SX. Compared to the 800, at QJ, they have increased the cylinder capacity from 799cc to now 904cc, by increasing both boring and the battle, from 88 x 65.7 mm to now 92 x 68 mm. More than that, by the way, the block is not reported.

The larger cylinder capacity has resulted in a slightly more top power of now 95 hp by 9,000 rpm, the maximum permitted power to be restored to A2. The biggest difference, however, is in the torque, which with 90 Nm at 6,500 rpm is significantly higher than the 77 Nm @ 8,000 rpm of the 800.

What else do we know? The SRT 900 SX is equipped as standard with traction control and cruise control, as well as tire pressure control, handle and saddle heating, a 7 “TFT color display, USB A and C, smartphone connectivity including navigation and blind spot detection.

However, it is by no means a lightweight, QJ claims a curb weight of 257 kilos, including the 3-part luggage set, that should be 263 kg. And that is quite big for a high potter that is aimed at the A2 mid-segment. A V-Strom 800th only puts 230 kg roadworthy on the scale. Ahead, that’s without a three -part luggage set, but then.

The SRT 900 SX stands at the official QJMotor dealers, the starting price in the Netherlands for the Touring Version (that with 3-part luggage set) is € 12,799 incl. All unavoidable costs.
