Tamiya Wild One Max

Meet the Tamiya Wild One Max, a life-size version of a radio-controlled car that lets you live out your childhood dreams on and off the tarmac. It’s completely electric too!

You probably know The Little Car Company mainly as a company that makes small versions of cars such as the Ferrari Testa Rossa, Aston Martin DB5 and Bugatti Type 35. For the Tamiya Wild One Max, the company reverses its working method. It comes with a life-size version of a radio-controlled car. The Tamiya Wild One Max is street legal, quite off road worthy and all electric. It actually goes on sale.

Tamiya Wild One Max

The Tamiya Wild One Max is based on the Wild One that Tamiya first released in 1985. The Wild One Max is 3.6 meters long, 1.9 meters wide and has 27 centimeters of ground clearance. According to its creators, the Wild One Max has eight interchangeable batteries that together account for a capacity of 14.4 kWh. That should give the car on the asphalt – partly thanks to a car weight of only 500 kilos – a range of 200 kilometers. In addition to the asphalt, you should be able to have fun for about 110 kilometers. The peak power is 38 hp, its top speed: 100 km / h.

The Tamiya Wild One Max has bucket seats with four-point harnesses, a 5-inch digital instrument panel, all-round Brembo brakes and Bilstein adaptive dampers. The fun machine will be available for both left and right hand drive markets and is mainly not intended for public roads. The Little Car Company specifies that the Tamiya Wild One comes with a package that makes it L7 compliant. This means that you can also use it on public roads with a B driving license in your pocket. Among other things, The Little Car Company comes with a Launch Edition limited to one hundred units, which has the necessary badges with the serial number on them, but is also equipped with a carbon fiber ‘dashboard’ with matching key. In addition, the Launch Editions come hand in hand with a radio-controlled small copy.

The Tamiya Wild One Max has a basic starting price of €41,000 in the United Kingdom.
