iOS 27 brings automatic online orders to Apple Wallet

From iOS 27 you will find all your online orders in the Wallet app. Your iPhone can search for online order confirmations in the Mail app using Siri and Apple Intelligence and automatically add them to Wallet. This way, orders, shipping information and the current delivery status are clearly visible in one place.
The function was already available in iOS 26, but did not yet work in Dutch. From iOS 27, Apple Intelligence also understands Dutch order confirmations and shipping emails. This makes it easier to automatically track orders from all online stores and other retailers, even if they have not been paid for with Apple Pay.

Orders automatically in Wallet

Apple Intelligence analyzes relevant messages in the Mail app and recognizes, for example, the name of the store, the order number, the products ordered, the price and delivery information. When a tracking number is available, Wallet can also show shipping status and delivery service updates.

The feature doesn’t only work for purchases paid for with Apple Pay. Also orders that have been settled with wero (iDeal), PayPalKlarna, credit card or another payment method can be added, as long as the order details are in an email. Moreover, the store does not have to specifically support the function.

Siri searches Mail

To use this feature, give Wallet permission to search for orders in Mail using Siri and Apple Intelligence. The feature is enabled by default and can be managed via Settings ▸ Apps ▸ Mail ▸ Apple Intelligence and Siri ▸ turn on ‘Learn from this app’.

Apple Intelligence then tries to automatically recognize which messages relate to a purchase or shipment. This includes order confirmations, shipping confirmations and delivery updates. The information is brought together in the orders section within Wallet, so you no longer have to search separately in your mailbox for a tracking link.

Check orders in Wallet

  • Open the Wallet app
  • Tap the package symbol at the top of the screen
  • Overview of active orders and periods opens

Active orders are displayed directly at the top, including on the Wallet app homepage above your payment cards. Tap the order for more details. Have you received a track & trace? Then Wallet will automatically update the status.

You also have the option to open your order history by tapping on a month in the overview. However, it’s important that you have the order confirmations in your email because if you delete this email, Siri will no longer be able to show the information in the Wallet app.

The feature only works with messages available in Apple Mail. Orders that are managed exclusively in another mail app, such as Gmail, can therefore remain out of view as long as they have not also been added to Apple Mail.

Delivery notifications

Wallet shows the most important information per order, such as the seller, order status, price and tracking number. When a package is shipped or given a new delivery status, the information in Wallet can be updated and you can be kept informed of its progress.

Do you want no notifications received of a specific order? Then go to Wallet ▸ Package symbol ▸ open the order ▸ tap the three dots ▸ choose ‘Notifications off’.
