A striking loot from the depths of an international patent office. Techzle has surfaced the patent plates of what appears to be a raised version of the Alpine A110.
At the beginning of this year, Alpine presented a very strikingly decorated show car based on the A110 at the International Automobile Festival in Paris. The brand introduced the A110 SportsX to the world, an A110 with two specially designed ‘roof’ carriers that made the sports coupé seem ready for winter sports. Those skis weren’t the only striking thing about the A110 SportsX. For example, the A110 SportsX stood 6 centimeters higher on its legs than the already well-known A110s and the sportsman was equipped with an extended carriage that made the model no less than 8 centimeters wider than the original. In the database of a patent office, Techzle has surfaced patent plates that may indicate the arrival of a production version of the A110 SportsX.
Alpine A110 SportsX
The Alpine A110 featured on this set of patent plates appears to be nearly identical to the study model shown in January. However, there are two tiny differences. For example, the largest cooling openings in the front bumper of the A110 in these images are partially filled with a horizontal strip. The tank opening on the right front screen is also visible on these patent plates, while it seemed hidden on the A110 SportsX. The latter may have to do with the fact that the car is not labeled on these patent plates. After all, the crosses on the inner set of LED lamps are also missing.
In theory, it is possible that Alpine will come up with a rigged version of the A110, a car with which the brand can piggyback on the success of raised cars and cross versions of existing cars, although we still keep a close eye on it. In any case, it would be a unique niche.
