At something as beautiful as the State Fair of Texas, as a truck builder you have to make yourself heard. Ram therefore comes with three new versions of the Ram 1500, which is also relatively popular in the Netherlands.
Ram brings a nice diverse range to Texas. We would have described the trio as (respectively) Fast, Chic and Aggressive, but Aries goes by different names. The headline ‘Fast’ is of course rushed by a variant of the brutal Ram 1500 TRX, the car that resolutely sends the Ford Raptor with its 711 hp back into its cage. In Texas, the Ram 1500 TRX Ignition Edition is on display. Limited to 875 pieces, the model not only distinguishes itself with the bright orange exterior, but also with special 18-inch wheels with huge tires, a panoramic sliding roof and some other trinkets. The candy costs a sweet $91,585 in the US, although it must be emphasized that this is a suggested retail price in view of the overstrained American car market.
If it’s all a bit less expensive, less fast and less flashy, we would like to point out the theme ‘Chic’. The Ram 1500 is also available as Longhorn SouthFork. With its profusion of chrome, refined silver-colored body and stylish brown interior, this version is remarkably stylish. The pick-up is nice in the options and costs if it is up to the manufacturer at least $ 61,620.
Finally, there is the Ram 1500 Red Edition. Judging by the many jet-black Rams that we find on the Dutch roads, this is the car that the Netherlands has been waiting for. So aggressive. Contrary to what the name suggests, the car is completely black, except for the logos and nameplates. At $63,250, the starting price of the Red Edition is slightly above that of the SouthFork. In all cases, you can order from the fourth quarter of this year, i.e. from next week.
