RAM 1500 Longhorn is a cowboy themed pickup truck

RAM comes with a new top model for the 1500: the Longhorn Limited 10th Anniversary Edition. This is to celebrate RAM’s tenth anniversary as a separate division within FCA. The pick-up is in fact a tribute to the American Southwest, which is evident in certain interior details.

From the outside you can recognize the 1500 Longhorn by the chrome grille, bumpers and running boards. In addition, 20-inch wheels are screwed under the pick-up. There is also a badge on the tailgate that clearly shows bystanders that you are driving in the pinnacle of RAM. However, the interior has been most thoroughly overhauled. Leather and wood are abundant. There is a pattern on the counters and in the doors that is very reminiscent of what can often be found on cowboy boots or horse saddles. RAM calls it ‘Southwestern style’. Indeed, the atmosphere in the interior of the Longhorn seems to resemble a ‘saloon’ from the Wild West of yesteryear.

The RAM 1500 Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition is available in America from $ 56,870, equivalent to € 48,239. There is a choice of two engines: a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 395 hp and 556 Nm of torque or a 3.0-liter V6 ‘EcoDiesel’ with 260 hp and 650 Nm of torque. RAM is not officially supplied in the Netherlands, but there are plenty of companies that bring the pick-up to our country via gray import. You see them quite often in the street. You just have to purchase a nice cowboy hat.
