Possibly smart move

Ram possible to Europe, also with 1500 REV

Stellantis does not officially carry its Ram brand in Europe, but that may change in the future. Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares hints at an expansion of the number of markets in which the Ram group operates and promises a number of surprises for its competitors.

Ram pick-ups are certainly not a rarity in the Netherlands. You see the Ram 1500, just like pick-ups like the Ford F-150 and the Chevrolet Silverado more than regularly, but those cars were all brought to our country via gray imports. You may be able to purchase a Ram in the future through the official sales channels. During the presentation of the annual figures, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares clearly hints at expanding the number of markets where the group offers Ram’s products.

“We currently lead the way in commercial vehicle sales in Europe and South America and we are of course prepared to defend and even strengthen that position. We have big plans to increase Ram’s market share. First in the United States, but more than in the United States alone,” said Tavares. “We have some surprises in store for our competitors when it comes to the rollout of Ram in other markets. We are preparing that now and we are almost done with that. Ram will make a major contribution to Stellantis’s profitability.”

Bringing the electric Ram 1500 REV to Europe, for example, could well be a smart move in Europe. Ram is also working on a smaller electric pickup than the 1500 REV.
