Land Rover presents the Range Rover Evoque HST, an extra sporty version of an existing petrol topper. The car is now also available as a Bronze Collection Special Edition.
The Range Rover Evoque P300 HST is ‘just’ a P300 under the skin, which means that there is a 300 hp two-liter four-cylinder under the hood. This version, not to be confused with the plug-in hybrid P300e, is however extra sporty in the HST version. The version is based on the R-Dynamic S and is even sportier than the already sporty version, although it must be said that it is far from spectacular. The HST comes standard with the Black Pack, which is also available on other versions, so that all exterior details are in black. This also applies to the roof and rear side windows, because privacy glass is also mandatory. Red brake calipers and 20-inch black wheels complete the picture as far as Land Rover is concerned.
In the interior we find, among other things, headlining and steering wheel in ‘Suedecloth’. There is also grained leather and a thick Meridian audio system. Land Rover does not report a price yet, but a ‘normal’ P300 R-Dynamic S already costs at least € 89,495.
HST is a name that has been used for sporty-trimmed Range Rovers since 2006, but so far only on the Range Rover Sport.
Bronze
If you don’t have to be so sporty, the Bronze Collection might be a better choice. This version stands out – you never guessed it – with bronze-colored details. Interestingly, among other things, the entire roof is executed in this shade. The car also gets unique wheels. Leather is again standard and the interior is decorated slightly differently than with a regular Evoque. A panoramic roof, extensive LED lighting and a digital interior mirror are standard. The Evoque Bronze Collection is available as D165, D200, P200 and P250, but also as a very interesting P300e for the Netherlands. Indeed: this is the plug-in.
