The Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound by JBL is a surprising combination of mood lighting and audio, two worlds that you normally purchase separately, but which Govee cleverly merges into one stylish design. Something that immediately stands out is the collaboration with JBL, a brand that guarantees high-quality sound. The result is a product that not only colors your room, but also fills it with rich sound.
This review discusses all the features of the Table Lamp 2 Pro, from the 210 adjustable LEDs to the integrated JBL speaker, and explains why this device is more than a lamp. The app options, battery life and how the synchronization between light and music works in practice are discussed. Wondering whether this lamp can brighten up your living room or desk?
Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound
The Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound is a smart table lamp with an integrated Bluetooth speaker from JBL. The device combines atmospheric, fully adjustable lighting with surprisingly powerful sound, giving you both a light source and a music speaker in one product. The design is round and sleek, and therefore fits well on a desk, side table or in the living room.
Award-winning design
The design of the Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro is immediately one of the strongest points of this lamp. The round glass design gives the whole a modern and luxurious look, making the product not only functional, but also a real design object in the room. It is precisely that combination of a sleek finish and a striking light experience that clearly explains why this table lamp has won several design awards; including the If award in 2025.
What makes the design extra interesting is how well the shape works together with the lighting and effects. As a result, the lamp never looks static, but rather dynamic and versatile, with a visual style that moves effortlessly with the atmosphere in the room.
210 LEDs for endless color possibilities
The lamp is equipped with 210 individually controllable LEDs that allow you to immerse the room in millions of colors. Via the Govee app you can adjust not only the color, but also the effects in detail, so that you decide what the lamp looks like. The LEDs have the ability to show gradient effects, but also patterns. You can see hearts and stars appear in the lamp, but also other patterns. This makes the Table Lamp 2 Pro suitable for a variety of atmospheres, from a quiet evening atmosphere to bright party lighting.
JBL speaker: more than just light
The Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro is more than just a table lamp. Thanks to the integrated JBL speaker, you also get exceptional audio performance. The lamp contains a powerful 2.5 inch 500 cc speaker and a JBL DSP chip that provides dynamic sound with optimized tuning for low, mid and high tones. The advanced chipset works together with Govee’s proprietary algorithm and offers a real-time response of 32 ms.
Bluetooth connection and 360 degree sound
The speaker is used via Bluetooth, so you can easily connect your smartphone or tablet to play music. The sound is projected upwards in a 360 degree pattern, similar to the HomePod. This ensures that every corner of the room is evenly filled with sound. Want an even more immersive experience? Then you connect two Table Lamp 2 Pro units together for a full-fledged stereo connection.
Full sound experience
The integrated JBL speaker provides a surprisingly full sound experience for a product that primarily looks like a table lamp. The sound sounds clear, fills the room and has enough depth to make music pleasant in a living room, bedroom or office. Thanks to the upward-facing 360-degree view, the room is filled evenly, so the sound does not quickly feel flat or directional.
The bass is solid and the coordination between low, mid and high tones ensures a balanced listening experience that is especially convincing with atmospheric and casual music. In the Govee Home app you can adjust the equalizer to your personal wishes.

Music and light synchronized down to the millisecond
One of the most striking features is the ability to synchronize the lighting with music down to the millisecond level. With a response time of just 32 ms, the lamp accurately captures every beat, making the light synchronization feel lightning-fast and precise. This creates an impressive visual effect when you play music.
Using the app you can choose from 8 dynamic music modes for the ultimate light shows. Ideal if you want to use the Govee table lamp during a party.
Excellent battery life, requires 35W+ adapter
Thanks to the 5200 mAh battery, you are no longer dependent on a socket. You can enjoy both sound and lighting for 4.5 hours, which makes this lamp ideal for use in places without electricity nearby, such as on the terrace or during an outdoor dinner. Although 4.5 hours may not be enough for an entire evening, you can extend the usage time with a good power bank.
An adapter is not included, so you must provide a suitable power adapter yourself. For proper operation, a 15 V and at least 35 W version is necessary, so that the table lamp receives sufficient power for both lighting and audio.
via the app
The Govee Home app is the beating heart of the table lamp and offers, among other things:
- Personalization of lighting, colors and effects
- More than 100 preset lighting scenes
- 8 dynamic music modes and 8 soft light scenes to relax
- Timers and schedules for automations
- Optimization of the speaker settings
- Voice control via Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri
- Support via Matter and Homey
WiFi and Bluetooth without a hub
Fortunately, linking the Govee Table Lamp to the Govee Home app is quite easy. After switching on the lamp, you go through the installation process step by step in the app, where you quickly add the lamp to your account and get immediate access to all settings for light, scenes and sound.
The biggest advantage of the Table Lamp 2 Pro is that you… no hub need. Operation is easy via WiFi or Bluetooth, which makes installation easy. Do you want to integrate the lamp into a broader smart home system? Then you can easily connect it to Matter for extra flexibility.
A small disadvantage is that the Home app is unfortunately not available in Dutch, so you have to operate the settings and menus in English.

Conclusion: Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound by JBL
REVIEW SCORE
The design of the Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro is stylish, and I can understand why this product has won several design awards. The round glass design works excellently in combination with the lighting and effects, and thanks to the 210 LEDs that you can adjust in detail, the lamp gets a new look every time. With the Govee app you can effortlessly play and adjust pre-programmed effects or create your own light shows.
The built-in JBL speaker is a nice addition that gives the table lamp an extra function. You can easily play your favorite music via Bluetooth, although it is a pity that the Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound by JBL does not support AirPlay 2. This would have given the speaker even more options within an Apple ecosystem. The sound of the speaker is room-filling, clear and has good bass, which is due to the upward-facing 360-degree sound that fills every corner of the room evenly.
While playing music, you can choose to adjust the lighting accordingly, with synchronization of music and light down to the millisecond level. This combination of stylish design, extensive personalization and surprisingly good sound makes the Govee Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound a must for anyone looking for a versatile atmospheric product for the home.
