Receive a warning for sensitive and sexual material on Apple devices

Automatically blur sexually explicit content in some apps and services

As an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac user, you have the option to receive a warning for sensitive material. If you receive a message or file with sexually explicit content, it may be automatically blurred and you will see a warning.

The option is mainly intended to reduce children’s exposure to unwanted explicit content. Ultimately, the user, no matter how young, can decide for themselves whether they want to view the content.

The feature helps you avoid receiving unwanted nude photos or videos on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac. This requires at least iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10 or macOS Sonoma.
