Already iconic

Red Bull will soon present its first hypercar, the RB17. That is the last project of master designer Adrian Newey for Red Bull.
Over the past decades, Adrian Newey has established himself as one of the best F1 car designers (if not the best) ever, but he has also recently been able to indulge in hypercars. With Red Bull Advanced Technologies he worked on the Aston Martins Valkyrie and Valhalla. However, there is another one coming that Red Bull itself will release: the RB17. It is about to be presented, Red Bull now announces.
The time has come during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, so the curtain will come down on July 12. Red Bull Advanced Technologies CEO Christian Horner is already increasing the excitement: “We have used everything we know about racing to create the ultimate sports car and we can’t wait for the public to see the result.” The RB17 will be a rear-wheel drive hypercar with a V10 and a carbon fiber chassis and gearbox. It must be able to reach a top speed of ‘above 350 km/h’ and fifty units will be built.
For Adrian Newey, the RB17 is his swan song at Red Bull. Newey recently announced that he is leaving after almost twenty years. Under his leadership, seven title-winning RB F1 cars were created, and if Max Verstappen continues this year, there will be eight. It is not yet clear what Newey will do next.
