Refresh round for Mazda CX-5

Mazda keeps its models up to date by implementing annual model year updates. The CX-5 is now undergoing another renewal round. New versions are available and the equipment is being improved.

Mazda increases the choice of engine and gearbox combinations. Anyone who wanted the 165 hp Skyactiv-G base engine in combination with a six-speed automatic transmission was immediately dependent on one of the higher positioned versions. From now on, the unnamed base version of the CX-5 with that petrol engine is also available with the automatic gearbox. Mazda has also managed to reduce the CO2 emissions of the 165 hp petrol engine in combination with the automatic transmission. The starting price of the CX-5 Skyactiv-G 165 with manual gearbox is € 35,990. The version with automatic transmission changes ownership from € 38,990. The 165 hp petrol engine is also available with four-wheel drive. In that case you always have the machine. The starting price for the highly positioned Luxury Edition is € 51,540.

More news? Certainly. The more powerful petrol engine, the 194 hp Skyactiv-G 2.5, always linked to the six-speed automatic transmission, was previously only available in the higher trim levels Luxury and Signature. This petrol engine is now also available in nameless basic trim and as Comfort. The starting price of the CX-5 with 194 hp Skyactiv-G 2.5 with automatic transmission is € 42,590. Just like the 165 version, this Skyactiv-G 194 is also available with four-wheel drive. Even then you have a machine and you have to do it at least with the € 55,540 Luxury version.

There is also news for Dutch diesel drivers. Although the 150 hp Skyactiv-D 150 disappears, the 184 hp Skayctiv-D 184 returns. The CX-5 with this 445 Nm strong 2.2-liter diesel engine is available with manual and automatic transmission. If you opt for the automatic transmission, you can also opt for a version with four-wheel drive. However, the CX-5 Skyactiv-D 184 will not arrive until March next year. Prices will be released later.

Equipment

Mazda is further adapting the standard equipment of the CX-5. Each version now has DAB + and a burglar alarm is now standard. Those who choose the Comfort version will now receive a display with a diameter of 10.25 instead of an 8-inch on the center console. The system has the same interface as the systems in the younger Mazda 3 and CX-30. Apple CarPlay is standard. The Luxury and Signature also benefit from the arrival of the new system. New is the Sportive version, which will sit between Comfort and Luxury. This version has the standard equipment of the Luxury, but instead of a black leather interior, it has an interior decorated with red leather and artificial suede. The Sportive is decorated with black details on the outside and inside. Think of black 19-inch alloy, black mirror caps and black moldings in the interior.
