Everyone get in
Citroën recently presented the updated commercial vehicle family together with its Stellantis brothers. Now the smallest of the bunch, the ë-Berlingo, is also ready for passenger transport.
At the end of October, the entire Stellantis commercial vehicle family entered a new phase and we also saw the updated Citroëns Berlingo, Jumpy and Jumper. These have even already been added to the price list. Citroën is now focusing the spotlight specifically on the refreshed ë-Berlingo, because it is now also available for passenger transport.
It won’t surprise you, but the passenger version largely benefits from the same innovations as the van Berlingo. We see a quite different front, including the retro Citroën logo and the headlights loosely inspired by the Oli, which we also know from the new Citroën C3. Along the flanks we see slightly sleeker plastic ‘bumps’. In the interior, a new 10-inch infotainment screen and a new steering wheel catch the eye.
The biggest technical change for the version available here only electrically and called ë-Berlingo is that it now has a greater driving range. The 50 kWh battery is good for a driving range of 320 km, while previously you had to settle for 280 km. The 136 hp electric motor is once again present, allowing you to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.2 seconds. Two lengths will be available: the 4.40 meter long M five-seater and the 4.75 meter long XL, which can be equipped with a third row of seats and therefore seven seats. There is at least 775 liters of cargo space available and in the XL you can expand this to no less than 4,000 liters by folding away the seats or removing them completely.
The updated Citroën ë-Berlingo is available from €37,940, which is almost €3,000 less than before.
