Actually, someone should make a gif of the current Ford Fiesta and this facelifted version. Then you see the corners of the mouth of the compact hatchback go up and down again. Up and down again. Because after its interim update, the Fiesta suddenly ‘smiles’. And proudly presents the Ford logo in the grille.

The Fiesta – which has been on the market in its current form since 2017 – has been given a higher bonnet by Ford designers, with a larger grille and more compact LED headlights. The Ford logo is no longer above the grille, but inside it. At the rear of the Ford Fiesta we see the same light units as before, but with a black border around it. There are seven new alloy wheels in the price list and two additional body colors: Boundless Blue and Beautiful Berry.

Ford Fiesta with 1.0 EcoBoost with or without hybrid technology

The Ford Fiesta delivery program starts with a 1.1 without turbo and 75 hp and a 1.0-litre EcoBoost with 100 hp. Above it is the same power source, but with 48 Volt support, which kicks it up to 125 hp. The latter is slightly more economical than the non-electrified version, with a theoretical consumption of 1 to 20.4. It is also available with a seven-speed Powershift transmission with a double clutch. The strongest motorization among the Fiesta ST is the 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid with 155 hp. The new Fiesta ST retains its 1.5-litre three-cylinder with 200 hp. However, its maximum torque has increased from 290 Nm to 320 Nm.

Fiesta with digital instrument panel for the first time

Things are also changing in the interior, with a digital instrumentation for the first time in the Fiesta: a 12.3-inch fully configurable screen. Ford added the so-called Wrong-Way Alert to the driving assistants. The system warns the driver if he or she threatens to enter the highway via the exit. Also available is Adaptive Cruise Control with start-stop and traffic sign recognition, Active Park Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and a SYNC 3 infotainment system with smartphone integration and voice control.
