Hyundai has released the Dutch prices of the Santa Fe, suddenly renewed last year. The thoroughly renewed Santa Fe is a lot cheaper than the original presented in 2019 and that is of course related to the arrival of hybrid versions!
Hyundai presented the current fourth-generation Santa Fe to the world in 2018, although it would take until mid-2019 before Hyundai’s SUV was placed on the Dutch price list. Last year, something remarkable happened with Hyundai’s largest European SUV. The model received a facelift very shortly after its market introduction. The renewed Santa Fe is now provided with Dutch prices. The starting price of the Santa Fe drops significantly. Until now you had lost at least 60 grand for the big brother of the Tucson. The sharpened Hyundai Santa Fe changes owner from less than 45 grand.
That large price difference is caused by the powertrains with which the new Santa Fe is available. Where until recently the Santa Fe was only available as a diesel version that cost at least 60 grand, Hyundai only supplies the renewed Santa Fe as a Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid. The always front-wheel drive Santa Fe Hybrid has a starting price of € 44,495 as a five-seater. That amount is for the i-Motion version. The four-wheel drive Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid is in the Dutch order books from € 51,495. That amount applies to the five-seater version in Comfort Smart trim. Both the Santa Fe Hybrid and Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid are also available as a seven-seater, although this seven-seater version is only available from the Comfort trim level. Hyundai supplies the renewed Santa Fe not only as i-Motion (Hybrid) and Comfort, but also as Comfort Smart, Comfort Smart Sky, Premium, Premium Sky and Premium Plus Sky.
Santa Fe Hybrid
The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid has a 180 hp and 265 Nm strong 1.6 T-GDI under the hood that, together with a 60 hp and 265 Nm strong electric motor on the front axle, provides a system power of 230 hp and 230 Nm. This hybrid variant has a 1.49 kWh battery pack. In 8.9 counts, the 1,709 kilograms heavy Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid sprints to a speed of 100 km / h. Its top speed is 187 km / h. Like the Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid, the Hybrid has a six-speed automatic transmission.
Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid
The Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid has the same 180 hp and 265 Nm strong 1.6 T-GDI as the Hybrid, but has an electric motor that is more powerful than that of the Hybrid with 90 hp and 304 Nm. The system power of the Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid is 265 hp and 350 Nm. The battery pack has a capacity of 13.8 kWh, which is large enough for an electric range of 56 kilometers.
