Kia XCeed

The Kia XCeed was facelifted in mid-July and now the prices of the renewed crossover are also known. Kia asks at least €28,695 for the upgraded XCeed. It comes in several variants and also as a plug-in hybrid to the Netherlands.

Kia recently modernized the now three-year-old XCeed. The refreshed XCeed followed about a year after the regular Ceed family underwent a facelift. Like the Ceed Hatchback and Ceed Sportwagon, the XCeed received a different front with new bumpers and modified headlights. The facelifted Kia XCeed is now available to order and has a starting price of €28,695.

For that small 29 grand, Kia puts the keys to the XCeed 1.0 T-GDi in ComfortLine version on the table. The 1.0 T-GDi is a 120 hp and 172 Nm strong three-cylinder petrol engine. That combination of power source and performance is not new. The GT-Line variants are, those sportier-looking versions existed before the XCeed went under the knife. The XCeed now has the GT-Line and GT-PlusLine versions known from other Kia models. To celebrate their arrival, Kia is launching special T-Line First Editions. Indeed, introductory versions of a performance.

The GT-Line First Edition is temporarily available and has an additional cost of €1,500 compared to the DynamicLine versions. As a GT-Line First Edition, the XCeed has 18-inch GT-Line alloy wheels, sports seats with gray stitching and GT-Line logos, heated seats and a heated steering wheel at the bottom with – you guessed it – GT-Line- logos. A series of black accents rounds out the picture. The XCeed GT-Line First Edition is available with the 120 hp 1.0 T-GDi from €32,195. The version can also be combined with the 160 hp 1.5 T-GDi. In that case you will lose €34,195 for the manual transmission. The 1.5 can be linked to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission at an additional cost.

The 120 hp 1.0 T-GDi and the aforementioned 1.5 T-GDi of 160 hp are also available as DynamicLine, DynamicPlusLine and ExecutiveLine. The most powerful petrol engine is the 204-hp 1.6 T-GDi. Whoever chooses that power source can only go for the GT-PlusLine version, which in that case costs €44,995.

Plug in

Of course, the Kia XCeed is also back with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The Kia XCeed PHEV has a system output of 141 hp and 265 Nm and can cover up to 48 kilometers electrically thanks to a 9 kWh battery pack. Switching is not done in this plug-in XCeed with a seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch, but with a conventional six-speed automatic. The plug-in hybrid Kia XCeed PHEV costs at least €46,495, although you will immediately receive the DynamicLine version.
