Request a paper corona admission ticket in Netherlands

Request a paper corona admission ticket in NetherlandsIt is not possible to visit a cinema, restaurant or theater from 25 September without a corona ticket. If you don’t have a smartphone, you can request or print a paper ticket.

From 25 September, people will need a corona ticket to enter, among other things, the catering industry, cinema, theater or music centers. Such proof is not necessary in public transport and government institutions.

The terms corona admission ticket, corona pass, corona proof, vaccination certificate are used interchangeably. In all cases they mean the same. The proof indicates that someone meets one of the following conditions:

  • was fully vaccinated 14 days or more ago.
  • has a negative PCR test or antigen test not older than 24 hours. For now, the tests are free.
  • has a proof of recovery that is not older than six months.

The person who scans the corona pass only sees whether you are granted access and not whether you have been vaccinated or have taken a test. This protects your privacy. You must also show a valid ID. Only the paper proof or the CoronaCheck app is insufficient.

How long the corona pass is valid for depends on the type of corona proof:

  • Test proof
This depends on the time of the test. It must have been performed less than 24 hours ago.
  • Recovery Proof
This depends on the date of the recovery certificate. The proof must not be older than six months.
  • Vaccination certificate on paper
Valid for one year. The proof must then be requested again.
  • Vaccination certificate in the CoronaCheck app
    No end date.

Request the corona pass via telephone number 0800-1351. Keep your citizen service number (BSN) to hand. This number can be found in the passport, identity card or driver’s license. After your details have been entered, you will receive the corona proof by post within five working days. Make a copy of the proof and keep the original at home.

Sometimes it is not possible to help you on the phone. The registration system of the RIVM is being used. If you are not aware of this, your data has not been forwarded. This can have several causes:

  • You have been vaccinated via the GGD but have not given permission to forward your data. Call the GGD for a paper corona certificate. The phone number is: 0800-5090.
  • You have been vaccinated by or through your own GP. Call your GP and ask if he/she wants to forward the vaccination details to RIVM. Apply for the corona pass three days later via telephone number 0800-1351.

People can also print the paper proof. Logging in with DigiD is extra secured via the DigD app or SMS check. If you don’t have a DigiD yet and would like one, read the article ‘Applications for DigiD’.

  • Finally, the page with the known vaccination, test or recovery data appears. click on Make proof.

  • Print the PDF as usual. Do this at least twice so that you always have a paper proof at home. No printer at home? After the step ‘Open PDF’, save the file. Put the file on a USB stick and take it to friends or a copy shop and print the file there.

By the way, the PDF contains four pages:

  • Page 1 provides information about the evidence for the Netherlands. This page does not need to be saved.
  • Page 2 is the corona admission ticket. Please keep this page safe. When showing the proof, only show the code. Fold the page in half so that your personal information is not visible.
  • Page 3 provides information about the evidence outside the Netherlands. This page does not need to be saved.
  • Page 4 is the international proof. Keep these in case you cross the border.

Anyone with a smartphone can quickly pick up a corona certificate with the CoronaCheck app. How this works is explained in the article ‘Using the CoronaCheck app’.
