The Dropbox storage service is useful for storing files online. Have you accidentally deleted a file? You can recover the file within thirty days.
Recover wrongly deleted file
Dropbox has its own Recycle Bin that contains the files you’ve deleted. These files are recoverable within 30 days of being deleted. You then move them from the Recycle Bin back to the Dropbox folder, where they were previously. You do this as follows:
- Open the website www.dropbox.com.
- Click on the top right To register.
- Enter the email address you use Dropbox with.
- Enter your password.
- click on To register.
- The overview page shows the files that are in Dropbox. On the left are the different folders. click on Deleted files.
- The Recycle Bin contains the files you have discarded. Click on the file you want to remove from the trash and click Put back.
The file will be placed back in the folder it was in before the deletion.
