One instant camera is a Polaroid device with which you can directly print the photos you have taken on photo paper. The Canon Zoemini S2 is such a camera with a built-in printer.
Aad Munsterman and Rob Coenraads
The camera weighs 188 grams and with dimensions of 12 x 8 x 2 cm it fits in the pocket. The F2.2 8MP camera with fixed focus and a resolution of 314 x 600 dpi can be controlled from the device or with your phone via Bluetooth with the Canon Mini Print app. At the bottom is a slot for a micro SD card to store jpg photos. You can charge the camera via micro-USB and with the battery it can take about 25 print photos that are smudge-free, water- and tear-resistant.
In addition to the viewfinder, there are buttons for landscape, group with flash and person or selfie with circle light. There is also a selection button for B/W (black/white) and Vivid (vivid colors) and a button to print with or without a white border. Via the back you slide a supplied ZINK (zero-ink) package with 10 sheets of self-adhesive printing paper in the format 5 x 7.6 cm. The aspect ratio is equal to the 2:3 standard.
For a selfie, you can mirror yourself in the lens and there is also a frame in which the image to be recorded falls. After about 1 minute, the Zoemini has printed a photo with a reasonable result with good colors, but moderate brightness and contrast. Photos via the Liveview of the app and via the built-in viewfinder yield an almost equal result. From the app you can also send a photo to the Zoemini and place it in a sticker form before printing.
All in all a nice gadget camera.
