The desktop monitors from the iiyama 97 Series all have an IPS panel and an indication after the numbers. 4K screen

The iiyama ProLite-XUB2797UHSNP-B1 is a multifunctional 27-inch 4K monitor with high resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), KVM switch and USB dock with RJ45 LAN connection. A 27-inch monitor offers a nice size and clear screen for the workplace. It provides a nice large work surface where several windows can be placed next to each other. Design and ergonomics

This Prolite monitor has the well-known sleek iiyama design and a sturdy black plastic housing with narrow edges. On the back there are video, USB and LAN connections and the joystick for operating the settings. Ergonomic settings include swiveling on the base, 15 cm height adjustment from 5 to 20 cm from the desktop, tilting 23 degrees forward and 5 degrees back, and the pivot or portrait function where the screen can be positioned vertically which is useful when reading long texts, etc. Thanks to the Vesa connection, the monitor is also suitable for wall mounting. In combination with a laptop, the monitor protrudes above the laptop screen at its highest setting, so that the view is not obstructed.

This monitor has TCO certification and therefore meets strict requirements in the areas of sustainability, ergonomics and health.

Technology

The matte 4K IPS screen has wide viewing angles (178°) and correct color reproduction, a maximum image refresh of 60 Hz and 4 ms for a pixel. The measured maximum brightness is 275 nits, so that you can use the monitor easily readable indoors even in not-so-bright conditions. The measured color coverage is 100% sRGB, 79% AdobeRGB and 84% DCI-P3, making this monitor suitable for many everyday tasks. The video connections include 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x HDMI 2.0 and a USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate. An outgoing DisplayPort connection is available for daisy chaining to the next screen. The 5GBps USB-C connection is designed in such a way that in addition to the video signal, power is also supplied for a connected laptop up to a maximum of 96 watts. If the RJ45 LAN connection is used, the signal is also transported over the USB-C cable. The outgoing DisplayPort connection also works with this USB-C connection.

The built-in KVM switch also connects internally to the USB-C dock or the USB-in and supplies a signal to up to four USB-A/C 5Mbps ports for connecting a keyboard, mouse, etc. Thanks to the built-in USB dock connections can be made with a minimum of cables, creating a neater workplace.

As with many screens, the sound (from 2x 2W speakers) is a bit meager and rather hollow, it is better to connect headphones to the 3.5mm audio jack

OSD

The On-Screen Display (OSD) settings are controlled via a small joystick to the right behind the screen. We think this is a better solution than the models that use a row of buttons at the bottom of the screen. The standard settings can be reached via the OSD menu and in addition the Gamma, RGB range, color temperature, blue light, PIP/PbP, KVM, USB power and much more can be set. The monitor comes with a 3-year warranty and 7 years of product support.

Energy consumption

The measured energy consumption is approximately 20 watts at a brightness of 120 nits and will increase to approximately 30 W at maximum brightness. Standby requires 0.5 W from the grid and off it is 0.3 W.

The iiyama ProLite-XUB2797UHSNP-B1 27-inch 4K monitor has an attractive suggested retail price of €339.
