Are you asked for a copy of proof of identity, for example when opening a bank account or entering into a new contract? It is important that you send this data in a secure manner. Taking a photo and sharing it is not safe, especially considering that some of the data may not be visible. With KopieID you can work more safely.

The app consists of a number of steps with which you share the data securely. First you take a photo of your ID via the app. The app automatically recognizes Dutch IDs, such as a driver’s license, passport and identity card. Documents from Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba are also recognized.

If the photo is OK, a step follows in which you indicate which elements of the document should or should not be visible. You determine for each part of the document whether it may be visible: such as photo, BSN, date of birth and nationality. The app provides an example of what the document will ultimately look like. Each photo gets a watermark: you determine the text yourself.

Finally, you indicate how the document should be saved, for example as a PDF document. You decide whether the document is used once or whether you want to save the photo in the app to use it multiple times.
