The Netatmo ‘Smart Carbon Monoxide Alarm’ is a nice and flat (100 x 100 x 22 mm) detector and comes with rounded corners in the color off white.

Mounting takes place with a small screw plate on which the detector is turned and the switch is immediately set to “on”. The non-replaceable battery has a lifespan of 10 years. The built-in siren scares everyone with 85 dB.

The detector is added via Bluetooth via the Netatmo Security app and then linked to WiFi (a slow process). With iOS and Android, the detector appears in the app and you can receive notifications, see status data and test the alarm. With iOS you will also be asked whether you want to connect the detector to Apple’s Home Kit for extra data and smart actions. Notifications come in via both apps with alarm message and sound via WiFi and 4G.

The user-friendliness of the app is not optimal and this detector is only smart in the Apple world for the time being. The alarm complies with the EN 50291 standard.
