Review PowerToys: Microsoft tools for WindowsThe PowerToys have been in development for Windows 10 for some time, but are now also available via the Microsoft Store in Windows 11. PowerToys is made up of different parts, each of which improves Windows on a specific part.

  • so there is wake up, which allows you to keep the computer on and prevents it from entering sleep mode. This is useful for tasks (e.g. calculations) where you want to prevent them from being interrupted.
  • We also find Image Resizer: an extension for the Explorer that allows you to resize multiple images at once.
  • Of PowerRename a similar action is possible: you can rename a set of files in one go.
  • Furthermore, we find the ShortCut Guide back: a handy overview of available keyboard shortcuts.
  • Speaking of keyboard shortcuts: with Keyboard Manager you can create your own shortcuts and existing keys remappso that they can perform other tasks.

The PowerToys also consist of other parts, such as an extension for the Explorer that allows you to view svg files and create a runbar, which allows you to quickly open programs by name. The number of parts within PowerToys is regularly expanded.
