Don’t feel like the official Microsoft tool to check the compatibility of the computer for Windows 11? An enthusiastic developer released an independent app called WhyNotWin11 for this purpose.
This app mainly distinguishes itself by its simplicity: in one window all critical elements of the computer are listed and you can see by means of colored fields whether the machine is suitable for a possible switch. Green means good, red is bad news, and orange means that this part may not officially meet Windows 11 requirements, but it can still be installed.
At each part we find an information icon. This gives access to additional text and explanation about the component and helps, for example, to determine what you can do to qualify for the upgrade with your computer. Unlike other programs, you cannot export or simply copy the analysis results. Instead, you take a screenshot of the results, but that’s more cumbersome.
