Rev’it, the Dutch clothing manufacturer from Oss, has launched the fifth generation of the Sand-Outfit, the Sand 5 H2O, a four-season motorcycle suit that builds on fifteen years of development.
Equipped with a high-quality waterproof rain liner that can be worn both over and under the jacket and at the same time large quantities of ventilation, the new Sand 5 H2O jacket and Sand 5 H2O pants, according to Rev’it, have to offer a full adventure motor outfit for all seasons.
Rev’it says with the Sand-Outfit! having managed to build an established name for a motor-outfit. When the first Sand jacket and pants were brought on the market in 2011, this was an innovative concept. With three interchangeable layers – with watertightness and thermo – and thanks to extensive ventilation options and a multitude of bags, it set a new standard.
According to Rev’it, small steps were taken in the three subsequent generations, but a big step has now been taken in the 5th generation. With huge ventilation panels on both chest and back of the jacket and also on the thighs of the pants, the new Sand 5 H2o-outfit is now better prepared for driving in warm weather.
At the same time, both the jacket and the pants have now received a waterproof Hydratex liner that can not only be worn as before, but now also the outer jacket. And that is really a huge improvement to us, what rain liners worn under clothing are not overwhelmed by a rain shower.
With the modern, refreshed Sand-Design, the new Sand 5 H2O joins tens of thousands of existing sand users. After all, there are still countless sand, sand 2-, and certainly Sand 3 and Sand 4 H2O outfits around the world. And that too is the power: wear resistance – for a safety point of view and sustainable wearing comfort. On top of it a construction that has largely been built from reused material-the thermo-linin is even made entirely made of recycled polyester.
