Rimac Nevera faster than Tesla Model S Plaid on the Ring

Rimac holds the Ring record for production EVs. With 7:05.298, the Rimac Nevera is 20 seconds faster on the Nordschleife than the Tesla Model S Plaid, which earlier this summer, in the successful attempt in June 2023, relegated the Porsche Taycan Turbo S with Performance Pack to the second plan.

The Rimac Nevera was driven through the Green Hell by Croatian driver Martin Kodrić. The electric hypercar ran on Michelin Cup2R tires. The Nevera is setting the records this year. Last month at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Nevera was not only the fastest electric production car on the hillclimb, the time of 49.23 seconds was also not a production car with a combustion engine.

Rimac Nevera broke 23 records in one day in April

And then there was that special day at the end of April. The Rimac Nevera broke no less than 23 records. Several acceleration and/or deceleration world records for production cars, including the 0 to 400 to 0 km/h – and that took less than 30 seconds.

In addition, the records for the 0-100, 0-200, 0-300, 0-400, 100-200, 200-300, the quarter mile, the half mile, the whole mile… The Nevera is the new absolute fastest accelerating car. The Croats proudly mention that the car was fully loaded during the entire session, without the technology overheating or starting to deliver less performance. “Any Nevera owner can copy this”, founder Mate Rimac – now also CEO of Bugatti – said afterwards. Provided there is a charging station nearby that can charge the car battery from 0 to 80 percent full in about twenty minutes, of course.

Nevera has 1,914 hp

The Nevera delivers 1,914 hp and 2,360 Nm. In 1.85 seconds, the Nevera flashes to a speed of 97 km/h (60 mph) and its top speed is a staggering 412 km/h. The 160 km/h is on the clock in 4.3 seconds and those who have patience for a total of 9.3 seconds, race over the asphalt at 300 km/h. There is a 120 kWh battery in the bottom.

In this video you see the Ring record being made.

How does a sports car with a combustion engine do? Well, recently a Porsche 718 GT4 RS tackled by Manthey Racing was faster than the more than 1,900 hp Nevera. With 500 hp…
