The rose root (Rhodiola rosea) is a traditional medicinal plant from the arctic regions of Eurasia and North America. In the following article we will introduce you to the care and use of the plant in more detail.

The rose root is a succulent perennial from the thick-leaf family. As a hardy perennial, it is originally native to arctic regions. In general, the tinctures, capsules and coated tablets should be well tolerated so that side effects rarely occur. However, as a result of an overdose, mild agitation, allergic reactions or interactions with other medications can occur. If you take medication on a long-term basis, it is better to seek medical advice in advance.

Important: The consumer advice center advises against the use of rose root during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Children under the age of 12 should not use the extract either, as there is still insufficient experience.

If you dose the rose root exactly, you can make a pleasant rose root tea:

  1. Finely chop five grams of the root and crush it with a mortar.
