Royal Enfield sets sales record of 1 million

We have said it before: not a brand that has grown so much in a short time as Royal Enfield. In 2012, the Indians were only a small player with 113,000 units worldwide, the vast majority of which for the local Indian market. However, since the use of a new and modern production factory in Oragadam by parent company Eicher Motor, the traditionally British brand has gone very fast.

After the financial year 2023 (financial years in India run from 1 April to 31 March) with 912.732 engines sold to have sealed the magical limit of 1 million engines nasty, it could hardly be other than that the Mijlpaal would be achieved for the financial year, which was indeed successful with 1,009.900 units.

The vast majority of the sale was still in their own country, where more than 902,000 engines found a new owner. However, the growth of exports was greatest, with a plus from 37% to more than 107,000 units. In India itself the growth was ‘only’ 8%, the total growth of Royal Enfield was 11%.

B Govindarajan, Managing Director, Eicher Motors, and Chief Executive Officer, Royal Enfield:

“This year nothing less than has been extraordinary for Royal Enfield. Passing the milestone of 1 million annual sales, our highest ever, is a proof of how far we have come. From a time when 50,000 motorcycles felt like a great victory to put new worldwide standards in the medium -segment, our trip was unbelievable. The batet has been the batetate. The Batet’s bat Classic 350, together with our ability to quickly adapt to the feedback of riders with new variants, made this our best year so far.

“We are expanding worldwide as never before. The opening of our assembly factory in Thailand and our entry into Bangladesh are important steps in strengthening our international presence. Our new introductions this year, including four groundbreaking motorcycles and our first step in electric mobility with the Flying Flea, was in the first place to put the boundaries in the first place and this moment in the moment and fetfield was in the first place and the borders of the possible place in the possible place and the moment of the possible place and the Possible Possible.
