WWDC 2023 is coming up and Apple has some nice things in store for us. According to generally reliable Mark Gurman, there will also be a few striking changes for the smart voice assistant Siri. According to the Apple expert, Apple will stop using the term ‘Hey, Siri’. Gurman said so in a tweet, which you can read below.

So Apple chooses to stop with ‘Hey, Siri’ and only use ‘Siri’ instead. Gurman had already dropped rumors in November that Apple is working on a way to use only the term “Siri” for voice commands.

If Apple does indeed implement this, the use of Siri will be very similar to that of Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa. After all, you invoke it by just mentioning its name.

Apple is also working on the voice assistant under the hood. For example, Siri must now better support the apps of other developers and be able to provide more information.
