Samsung energy-efficient AI washing machines more efficient than class A and with greater ease of use

During the global event ‘Welcome to BESPOKE AI’ in Paris, Samsung presented a new range of washing machines and users had the opportunity to experience the Bespoke AI washing machines for themselves.
Samsung is introducing a total of four new series of washing machines, including 2 series that are available in Bespoke design [1]. Despite the large capacity, the washing machines have a depth of only 60 cm, making them easy to install.

More efficient than class A
The most important energy-saving technology is the circulation pump [2]. This sprays the soapy water on top of the clothing via the circulation pump. This saturates the laundry more thoroughly and distributes the detergent evenly, resulting in a more efficient wash.
When using the cotton program, the circulation pump also helps reduce water use and washing time. The concentration of the detergent in the water is higher, while the amount of detergent remains the same. This improves washing performance and reduces washing time by as much as 25% [3].
With the AI ​​Energy Mode [4] SmartThings Energy makes it even easier to monitor energy consumption. This feature allows users to monitor their energy consumption and estimate monthly energy bills. If it exceeds the set target, SmartThings Energy may enter power saving mode.

AI for proper laundry treatment
The new washing machines also help ensure the correct treatment of the laundry. AI Ecobubble [5] ensures that the treatment suits the laundry. Depending on the fabric type, it adjusts the amount of bubbles, washing time, temperature and spin speed. As a result, the machine also washes with cold water, which reduces energy consumption [6] compared to washing in warm water. In addition, the color and texture of clothing are better preserved with up to 45.5% better textile protection [7].
AI Wash cleans clothes gently but thoroughly [8] with less water and detergent. AI Wash detects the weight and softness of the fabric and continuously monitors the degree of soiling. The information collected is used to provide the correct amount of water and detergent. The function continuously adjusts the wash, rinse and spin times for the best results [9]. This ensures better washing performance and less waste.

Three striking washing functions
The new line-up improves three key aspects of laundry: microplastic emissions, ease of use and wash time.

* Less Microfiber Cycle: this program reduces the amount of microfibers in the drain water by as much as 54% [10].

* Detergent Scan [11] and Care Label Scan [12]: with SmartThings Clothing Care [13] makes doing the laundry a lot easier. Detergent Scan determines the correct amount of detergent or fabric softener. Care Label Scan passes the information from the washing labels to the washing machine, so that the clothes are washed correctly.

* Super Speed: thanks to a speed spray in the rubber of the washing machine, the detergent is activated even better, which means the washing time can be shortened. The rinsing process is also shortened using water jets that quickly remove detergent residue. SuperSpeed ​​makes it possible to complete washes in just 39 minutes [14]. Even better, this program is already available on all new Samsung washing machines [15].
