It will take a while before the Samsung Galaxy S22 models appear, but the models and specifications of the Galaxy S22 have been leaked…
Thanks in part to LetsGoDigital, we are learning more and more about the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. For example, the official marketing poster of Samsung Electronics has fallen into their hands, two months before its official release. We are happy to tell you more about the upcoming expected devices.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
As seen in the photo above, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra features a water drop camera design. You will also find the text Galaxy S22 Ultra at the bottom of the back. This S22 Ultra is very similar to the Galaxy Note series. In addition, the image shows that the S22 Ultra will be compatible with Samsung’s S Pen. The pen is completely black, only the end of the pen seems to be the same color as the phone. Finally, it is known that it will be the first Galaxy S series smartphone with a built-in S Pen compartment, just like the Galaxy Note series. As a result, the cases with an S Pen compartment will not be sold with this phone.
The Ultra model will feature a quad camera with a 108MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and two 10MP telephoto cameras for a 3x and 10x optical zoom.
Samsung Galaxy S22/S22 Plus
In the leaked marketing poster at the top of this article, you can see that in addition to the S22 Ultra, there is another phone (in white): the Galaxy S22 Plus. You can see all models in the photo below. The Samsung Galaxy S22 base model will look the same as the S22 Plus. One of the biggest differences is size: where the S22 base model has a 6.06-inch AMOLED display, the S22 Plus has a 6.55-inch screen.
Furthermore, the cameras are changed compared to the predecessor. These will protrude less, so that the smartphone wobbles less when you put it on the table. In addition, the curve in which the camera island overflows towards the side and top of the phone has been reduced.
Both the S22 base and Plus models will be equipped with a triple camera consisting of a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP zoom camera with 3x optical zoom.
Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to be launched in February 2022, the final prices are not yet known.
The S22 Ultra will be sold in black, white, red, green and a new color, namely pink/purple. The official name for this is still unknown, but it is expected to be called Turkish Rose.
The S22/S22 Plus is expected in white, black, green and rose gold colors.
