On Monday, May 12, Samsung will come with the new Galaxy S25 Edge that is already known about a few things. Read here about the cameras, the new Cornilla Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for improved sustainability and how you can follow the launch event via a live stream.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 21, a new ceramic glass that must offer the right protection with a new, remarkably thin shape factor. Due to the combination of Corning’s glass technology with Samsung’s own processing and reinforcement technologies, the Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 cover on the Galaxy S25 Edge has a slim but strong design.
Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 contains crystals that are very fine in the glass matrix, which improves durability and cracks in the display cover less common. The synergy between the glass and crystal components is stronger, while at the same time maintaining a high optical transparency. The ion exchange process of Corning has played a key role in the improved resistance to damage; It strengthens the glass ceramic material and improves the retention of the display cover.

Cameras
The Galaxy S25 series has excellent cameras and that also applies to the Galaxy S25 Edge. Samsung itself says that it goes one step further for mobile AI users, from recording to processing and sharing. Also in a slender version there is the Breedhoek lens of 200 MP from the Galaxy S25 Edge and offers pro-grade options. And thanks to Galaxy AI, the camera turns into a smart lens that helps recognize what is important.
