Samsung is going to release its next smartwatch in three models. There will be a larger and smaller size, as well as a premium version. The latter may be called the ‘Galaxy Watch 5 Pro’ and it will have an extra large battery.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5
Samsung has plans to bring a new smartwatch to the market this year, but it does not stop with one model of the Galaxy Watch 5. Get watch comes in three different variants, which is apparent from the code names that Galaxy Club has discovered. ‘Heart-S’ is the name Samsung uses for a 40 or 42 mm model. There is also the larger 44 or 46 mm Heart-L model and Heart-Pro.
The latter is the premium version of the smartwatch, but it is not yet certain whether it will actually be called Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Samsung could also use another name such as ‘Ultra’ for example. The premium version gets a huge battery: a 570 mAh one. How long the smartwatch can work with this without being connected to the charger will depend on several factors.
Still, all copies of the Galaxy Watch 5 will get a larger battery this time around. Heart-S has a 276 mAh battery, that is, a capacity that is 12 percent larger compared to its predecessor. Heart-L, on the other hand, has a 397 mAh battery, which is 10 percent larger compared to the Watch 4.

It has previously been leaked that none of these three watches will be a Classic model with a traditional watch design. At the beginning of this week, it was announced that Samsung is struggling with the temperature sensor of the Watch 5. It basically measures the skin temperature, but smart algorithms must use that measurement to determine the body temperature. It is not yet certain whether Samsung will master the feature before launching its Galaxy Watch 5 series. We expect them this summer. Here you will discover everything we already know about the smartwatches.
