Fans of high-end foldables are eagerly looking forward to the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and of course hope for a lot of improvements. Now that a complete list of specifications has surfaced, we are getting more insight into that.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 specifications
The rumor spreader Yogesh Brar just released on Twitter shared a whole list of specs. According to Brar, the folding top model will receive a variant with more RAM and the new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm. We also see an upgrade in megapixels for the under-display selfie camera. Hopefully that upgrade will work out well, because the quality of the selfies that the Z Fold 3 takes with this camera was nothing to write home about. Brar also claims that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have a 50MP main camera, 12MP wide-angle camera and 12MP 3x telephoto lens. This would be similar to the camera setup of the S22 and S22 Plus. The telephoto camera on the Fold 4 would get more megapixels.
If you’re hoping for a bigger screen, these specs will disappoint you. At the front would be the same 6.2-inch HD+ cover screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. According to this list, if you open the phone, you also look at the same 7.6-inch QXGA+ main screen. The battery capacity and fast charging on the Z Fold 4 would also remain the same as that of the Z Fold 3. More has been revealed about the design of the foldable phone before. Pictures of the alleged Z Fold 4 can be found here. We don’t see any earth-shattering changes there either. It does seem that Samsung has made some improvements to the hinge, as you can read here.
