Samsung is launching the world’s first micro RGB screen with striking color accuracy with LEDs smaller than 100 micrometers. The screen can be purchased from 13 October for a suggested retail price from € 29,999.00.
Samsung today announces the official launch of its micro RGB, the world’s first screen with an RGB LED background lighting on micro-scale behind a large screen of 115 inches. Micro RGB is based on Samsung’s own micro RGB technology, where separately controlled red, green and blue RGB LEDs-each smaller than 100 µm-are ranked behind the panel in an ultrafine pattern. In contrast to conventional background lighting, the architecture makes precision control of any red, green and blue RGB LED possible.

Micro RGB is controlled by Samsungs Micro RGB AI-Engine, which uses AI processing to fully optimize both image and sound. This advanced technology analyzes every frame in real time and automatically optimizes the color output for a lifelike image. Thanks to this AI application, Micro RGB Color Booster Pro Scenes with dull color tones recognizes and improves the colors in all content for a livelier viewing experience in intelligent way.
In addition, Samsungs Micro RGB has Micro RGB Precision Color, which shows the colors as intended. For example, maximum accuracy and liveliness, with accurately driven colors that reach 100% color coverage of BT.2020, an international standard for color accuracy set by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The screen also received the ‘Micro RGB Precision Color’ certificate of the bandage of the Electrotechnik (VDE), a leading German agency for electrical certification.
Thanks to the Glare Free technology, Samsungs Micro RGB minimizes reflections, even with bright light, for a more comfortable and more focused viewing experience. The Micro RGB not only delivers the next generation performance, but also has a super thin metal design with a sleek minimalist profile that fits into any interior.
Samsung Vision Ai and Knox
With the integrated Samsung Vision AI (1), Samsungs Micro RGB offers the latest state-of-the-art AI technologies, including AI image and sound, and a smarter Bixby voice assistant, driven by Generative AI, who offers more conversational and personalized experience for TV users to get more out of the screen.
Samsungs Micro RGB is also protected by Samsung Knox, the security solution that is designed to protect the sensitive personal data of users, and Samsungs 7-year Free Tizen OS Upgrade Program, which ensures continuous software improvements and support in the long term.
Price and availability
After the debut in Korea, Micro RGB is ready for launch in the US, and the global rollout is planned with different screen sizes. Micro RGB is available in the Netherlands from 13 October for a suggested retail price from € 29,999.00.
