Sea buckthorn oil is a real vitamin bomb and full of minerals. On this page we show in detail what it contains, how it works and how to use it.

What is sea buckthorn oil?

Sea buckthorn oil comes in small bottles and you can drink it in small quantities. But sea buckthorn oil is also available in capsules, often in combination with dietary supplements. There are two methods of obtaining sea buckthorn oil: either it will from the cores or from the Pressed pulp. The oil from the pulp is orange to reddish and tastes intensely sweet and sour. Tip: Between September and October you can harvest sea buckthorn yourself, especially in northern Germany. But even after that you can still find the fruits on the bush, because they stay on the bush for a long time. Make sure, however, that they are not overripe.

You can drink sea buckthorn oil just like that. The oil is also available as capsules that can be swallowed. You can also use the oil in many dishes if you like the taste. Sea buckthorn juice also contains as many nutrients as oil and is safe to drink.

But note: Sea buckthorn is very sour and tastes better when slightly sweetened.
